Community Clinical Services (CCS) Psychiatry is a Federally Qualified Health Center and a full-service behavioral health practice. Our practice is located at 100 Campus Avenue in Lewiston; our phone number is (207) 777-8974 and some of our providers also provide care at our B Street Health Center and the SMRMC’s Renaissance School.
Our Psychiatry practice is a specialty practice. You may need a referral from your primary care provider in order to have an appointment, depending upon the kind of insurance you have. Look on your insurance card, or call your primary care provider to find out. If you do not have health insurance, we can help you apply for Medicaid Expansion, and we can help you apply for our sliding fee discount, so that our care can be affordable. Contact our financial counselors at the St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for help with a Medicaid application, or the CCS Sliding Fee Discount program at (207) 777-8208.
CCS Psychiatry has a large staff of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to provide psychiatric care and medication management to children, adults and elders. We have providers that specialize in children, providers that specialize in adults, sleep disorders, substance use, as well as a specialized geriatric team for patients with memory issues. We are one of only three geriatric psychiatry programs in Maine! Many of our providers also work at the St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s in-patient behavioral health programs, so they are able to follow patients throughout a larger continuum of care, when needed. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center also has Maine’s only Behavioral Health Emergency Room, and we often receive referrals for follow-up care.
Even though you may need a referral first from your primary care provider, and this may sound complicated, DON”T GIVE UP. Call us at (207) 777-8974 and we can walk you through the steps. CCS Psychiatry has provided profound relief and hope and sustainability for thousands of patients throughout the years, and we know that psychiatric issues are very difficult. You will be cared for here. If we do not believe we have the skills to handle your, or your loved ones care, we will refer you to another psychiatric practice that is better equipped for your needs. You may need to work through your insurance’s requirements. We do want you and your loved ones to have a good future, and we are here to help. What if you don’t have a primary care provider? Call us and we can make a recommendation. Our B Street Health Center (207) 753-5400 and CCS Pediatrics (207) 755-3160 has openings and accept all patients regardless of whether you have health insurance.
